अंतरराष्ट्रीय संयुक्त प्रयासों से ‘मेन ऑन मून’

इसरो के पूर्व प्रमुख व चंद्रयान-1 के मुख्य कर्ताधर्ता जी माधवन नायर ने ‘मेन ऑन मून’ को ड्रीम प्रोजेक्ट बताते हुए इसके लिए अंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तर पर संयुक्त प्रयासों की जरूरत बल दिया है। उनका कहना है कि इस दिशा में भारत की भांति चीन भी प्रयासरत है लेकिन यह मिशन जोखिमों से भरपूर तथा चुनौतीपूर्ण है।

इसके लिए काफी धन व मानवसंसाधन की भी जरूरत है। साथ ही विज्ञान व तकनीक भी उच्चकोटि की चाहिए। इन कारणों से ‘मेन ऑन मून’ सरीखे प्रोजेक्ट संयुक्त प्रयासों के बिना असंभव लग रहे हैं।

इसलिए ‘मेन ऑन मून’ प्रोजैक्ट के लिए इंटरनेशनल प्रोग्राम बनाया जाना चाहिए। पूर्व इसरो प्रमुख नायर यहां पीआरएल परिसर में छटवें वैज्ञानिक विचार-विमर्श कार्यक्रम के अंतिम दिन उक्त बात कही। चंद्रमा पर जीवन की संभावनाएं, पानी सहित बिंदुओं मंथन के लिए देश-विदेश के वैज्ञानिक यहां पहुंचे थे।

वैज्ञानिकों का मानना है कि भारत-चीन के अलावा जापान, रूस एवं अमरीका भी मून मिशन में गहरी दिलचस्पी ले रहे हैं। ऐसे में ‘मेन ऑन मून’ हेतु यह राष्ट्र साथ आएं तो कोई नहीं बात नहीं होगी।

एक और चंद्रमा

नासा की वैज्ञानिक कार्ली पीटर ने कहा कि पृथ्वी से दिखने वाले चंद्रमा की विपरीत दिशा में भी एक और चंद्रमा है लेकिन यह देखा नहीं जा सका है। चंद्रयान से वहां पहुंचने में सफलता मिली है। इतना ही नहीं चंद्रमा के दूसरे पट की विपरीत दिशा में दिखने वाले गड्ढे-पर्वत की तुलना में अलग प्रकार के हैं।

कागुया का चंद्रमा का नक्शा

जापान के मून मिशन कागुया से संबद्ध वैज्ञानिक डा. कोबायासी ने मंथन के दौरान मून मैप की जानकारी दी। उन्होंने कहा कि वैसे तो कई बार चंद्रमा के नक्शे देखे गए हैं लेकिन कागुया हाई-रिजोल्यूशन ईमेज लेने में सफल रहा है। इसलिए चंद्रमा का यह नक्शा अब तक तैयार नक्शों की तुलना में अच्छी गुणवत्ता का है। किसी भी चंद्रमिशन में नक्शा वैज्ञानिकों को वहां की भौगोलिक स्थिति समझने में मदद करता है।

Meeting on Absorption project

RAIGARH --- A meeting was organised in local Kamla Nehru Park. Our junior scientists visited the horticulure and flower exibhition there. There they meet Dr. R.M. Sharma, botanist and talked over the interrelation between science and life. The meeting was called on for disscussion on there project “Absorption and its various Dimensions”. From last two weeks they are busy with this. They experimented with many articles. On this occasion our advisory board member Mr. R.S. Prasad sir was present to give them special inputs.

On coming 2^nd February club was going to celebrate “World Wetlands Day”.

This year's theme for World Wetlands Day

With the suggested World Wetlands Day theme for this year on wetlands, biodiversity and climate change, we finally arrived at our 2010 WWD slogan: Caring for wetlands – an answer to climate change.At the end of 2009 a critical climate change meeting of the world's leaders will take place in Copenhagen, and in January 2010 we will begin the International Year of Biodiversity, so biodiversity and climate change will definitely be hitting the headlines in the coming year. Our theme is therefore timely, and there is much to say at global and national levels about wetland species and ecosystems under continuing threat from unsustainable human practices, about the likely impact of climate change on wetland ecosystems, and importantly, about the role of wetlands in climate change mitigation and adaptation. Thus there is plenty of scope for you, the key World Wetland Day actors, in terms of your focus for the day. As always, our approach is global, but we know that your activities are more likely to be either national or local.
